State of Denial -- A Red State of Mind

There are 3, 890 and climbing articles on the internet related to a State of Denial, by Bob Woodward, and today is a Sunday. I am amazed at how much attention this book is getting. Having watched and read several reports about the book, according to the news media, it will probably deserve a place in the Smithsonian before it is published in paperback. Politicians (Democrats) are quoting the book as if it is sacred text! Forget whether the book is factual or makes accurate inferences of what people said or did, this book is a publisher's dream! This got me thinking. What could bloggers do to take advantage of the enormous popularity of Woodward's book, and somehow promote my blog friend, Nancy French's new book? A few ideas to get us thinking:

Everytime someone asks if you have read A State of Denial, respond, "Did you mean the new book, A Red State of Mind?"

When the conversation at work starts with, "Did you see Bob Woodward on Sixty Minutes last night? Respond, "Yes, but I can not believe that Nancy French was not also on there with her new book, A Red State of Mind.

Use the book as a conversation starter with a complete stranger -- "Did you hear How a Catfish Queen Reject Became a Liberty Belle?"

Write a review for your home town paper. Begin the review with the words, "The media is all a buzz with Bob Woodward's new book, A State of Denial, but what I am really concerned about is A Red State of Mind -- How a Catfish Queen Reject Became a Liberty Belle!

What are some ways that we could promote Nancy's book?

David,

You've already started it! And I love your suggestions. I bought a copy of her book at my local Barnes & Noble on Saturday and am enjoying it so much. She's downright funny, but then we, her faithful blog readers, already knew that.
