Blogging is such an incredible instrument of communication. This public journal has given many of us "wanna be" writers an avenue to see our work in print. For the curious minded, it gives us insight into others lives; what they are doing and thinking.
There are the bloggers who are connected to some type of organization such as a form of media or an institution, and they may have thousands of readers. The comments to these blogs become as interesting as the blog itself. You get to know people in a certain way when you read their opinions. When there are regular commenters, this forms a blogging community. Over time, the personalities of the community members becomes evident.
There are also bloggers who write to write, and are surprised the first time that someone makes a comment. Once a person comments, you then realize that your blog is actually going out beyond your own PC, so you start thinking about the readers as you write.
Blogging in some ways for me is an imaginary world. The entire internet thing still blows my mind. I can't imagine coming home from school and instead of watching a Leave it to Beaver rerun, getting on my computer and begin doing my homework or IMin' my friends.
Blogging is a part of my world -- "and I like it." Isn't it interesting though, that when you do a spell check, the word blogging is not in the dictionary, and the suggested word is "flogging." Have fun with that idea!

Dee,
I am a blogger that enjoys writing, but is thrilled when I have a response. When I comment on other people's blogs, I wonder if they think I am intellectually challenged.
David: I certainly share your sentiments concerning blogging! It's a hobby that has the potential to impact thousands of lives for eternity! Keep blogging, my friend! Thanks for your note about the picture of our family!
Have a great weekend!
In His love,
The Other David
