Tim Russert

Tim Russert died today. He is one of the people in life that I would have liked to have lunch with. Fatherhood was extremely important to him. He was a great father and son. My heart goes out to his wife Maureen and his son Luke. It would have been incredible to have a father like Tim.

Hey, David -

Haven't dropped by here in the past few days, so wanted to check in on you to see how you're doing and how your summer is going.

I miss you blogging all the time and miss your comments over at Finding Direction, too!

Tom & I were very upset about Tim Russert's death last week. We watched all of the shows about his life all weekend and I watched his memorial at Kennedy Center, which was very good.

Russert's heart attack was in the same artery that Tom's was in 1999, so I kept thinking about that. We were very blessed that Tom lived and did well, because his artery was completely blocked and it is the major one feeding the entire front of the heart. The place where it occurred is referred to by all of the doctors and nurses as the "widow maker," which in Tim Russert's case, it was. So sad.

Take care and Godspeed!

Dee
