Water

There is something spiritual about watching the waters of the Gulf of Mexico crashing the sand dunes of Padre Island. Waves can be mesmerizing. Maybe it is because when water is mentioned in the Bible, something significant happens. Creation, flood, Red Sea, turning water into wine, walking on water, etc., etc., etc.

Water Street in Corpus Christi is probably one of the best seafood restaurants in the universe. Last night I had the freshest and most succulent blackened Mahi Mahi ever.

One of the most enjoyable things to do on the beach is to watch children playing in the Gulf or on the sand. Everything is a surprise. A wave, a seashell, a castle of sand, and even an occassional sand crab discovered in their hideaway. Watching children reminds me of my own and taking them to the Gulf when they were young.

Today I "accidently" caught the Oprah Winfrey show. Pam Cope, Mike's sister-in-law was on the program. When Neosho was mentioned, it immedeately caught my attention. I never heard of Neosho until I saw it on a t-shirt Mike was wearing when we were students at Harding.

My mom is doing better. She is having a difficult time speaking, however, she is perkier and is responding to others as they speak.

_________

Snoopy's Restaurant has some great fried shrimp. They are caught in the morning and fried up for lunch and dinner.
