Have you ever lived in the land of doubt? Years ago, I was an intern to Lynn Anderson at Preston Road Church of Christ in Dallas. During this time, his book If I Believe, Why Do I Have All These Doubts? was released. It is one of those books that I have tried to keep on my shelf, but I keep giving my copy away to chronic doubters. In the book, Lynn wrote about his own faith struggles. That is one thing I love about Lynn, he is not afraid to share his challenges. When I first read the book, I was amazed how honest he was. At the time, I had never really gone through a doubt storm. My how times have changed.
For the past few years, I have really struggled with my faith. It has been difficult each Sunday to get ready and go to church. It may be that my struggle has had more to do with my struggle with church than with my beliefs. However, my continued struggle with church has affected my faith.
You may have never been in this territory before, so you may want to skip my blogs for awhile. Of course I haven't written that much lately, so I may have lost my readers. But, for the next few weeks I am going to write about my reasons for struggling with my faith. My goal is to be as honest as I possibly can. If you go with me for the ride, I hope you will share your thoughts and maybe even your own struggles with your faith. Make a comment anonymously, if you wish.

As you figure it out ...maybe I will too! The problem has something to do with our concept of church is not the reality ...never has been...we just did not see it. What is IT....
Looking too....
I will pray for you on your journey. The move from belief to faith/trust is a huge one and worthy of examination. Sometimes we question and cry out in desperation...before we find the answer we need.
I think it blesses us all when we tear down some barriers and just get real. When we are honest we have all dealt with doubts at one time or the other...
I will keep reading to see where your journey takes you and will support you the entire way.
Hi David,
I offer you my friendship and support at this time and would like to walk alongside you on your journey through this new territory.
Warm wishes,
Janice
