Katy is almost back to normal. Residents who evacuated are beginning to get back. Stores haven't been stocked yet, but they are open. Gas stations are beginning to get gas. Schools are out until Wednesday.
Hurricane Rita had her sites on Katy via Matagorda Island, then began shifting east. With each shift, the potential disaster lessened. When the storn was moving toward Louisianna, we knew we were safe.
Today, the temperature is over 100 degrees. Rita pulled the hot, dry heat upon us. Rita was no Katrina, but she sure was a big flirt!
