Matthew, Melissa, and Michael

Tonight, Melissa, my 17 year old daughter is in New York City with her high school choir from Katy, Texas. It is a long way from Katy to New York City. Tonight she is attending the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast. She enjoyed some New York style pizza this afternoon, and visited Time Square and Union Station. Her group is staying in the Hyatt on 42nd street. She is having the time of her life! I am very excited for her.

Matthew is visiting this weekend the church he is going to work with this summer as an intern. He is in Sulpher Springs, which was once the dairy capital of Texas. He is very excited about ministry. He has had some great models in youth ministry and is going through a great program at Abilene Christian University. He is going to do very well in minstry!

Melissa is going to join her brother next year at ACU. She plans to major in psychology and eventually become a family therapist. She definitely has the personality, gifts, and passion to be a very effective therapist.

My youngest, Michael, is a freshman. His aspirations may take him in a different direction. He would like to become a fireman after he finishes his Olympic career as a wrestler. He is going to be our "only child" next year. He is a fun guy to have around the house. I may not let him leave.

I am a blessed man! I have an incredible wife and three wonderful kids. I am in debt up to my eyeballs, but I am blessed (I have been listening to Dave Ramsey and reading Money Makeover, so I am getting excited about the "debt snowball.")

Children are a gift from God. Thank you!!
