Very few people can say, "This is who I am," with complete honesty. Most people do not know who they really are. Over the years, like an onion, we add one layer of skin on top of another. (Maybe God is trying to tell us something about ourselves when we cut up an onion which causes tears to well up in our eyes). As the years go by we get so far removed from our core, that to find our authentic self takes about the same effort as an archeological dig.
You may be thinking, why would I want to go through the process and possibly the pain of finding out who I really am? First, acknowledging that you struggle with "being yourself" is the first step to becoming authentic. Second, it is important to begin this archeological dig with caution. You don't want to start digging recklessly and break something precious. The work necessary to uncover priceless artifacts is often referred to as "painstakingly."
CORE Life Coaching can help you find your authentic self. Life Coaching guides you into discovering your purpose and vision so that you can live authentically. Some clients are not ready for coaching. Coaching is not therapy! Professional Life Coaches, in the intake process, can determine if the client should be in a therapeutic relationship with a licensed therapist, instead of a coaching relationship. A professional counselor can sensitively guide a person through the perils of a painful past to help them live in a peaceful present. Discovering who you are can have a profound impact on the rest of your life. Begin today!
Let your mind start a journey thru a strange new world. Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before. Let your soul take you where you long to be...Close your eyes let your spirit start to soar, and you'll live as you've never lived before. -- Eric Fromm
