Today I asked Matthew if he would like to earn some money by painting the house (which is only the fascia and soffit). He said he didn't need the money - yea right! When I was young I was never given an option. My dad handed me and my brother steel brushes and told us to start scraping the paint off of our wood frame house. I remember how hot Wand how hard it was to scrape the paint off. My brother was always slower and took more breaks which really ticked me off. We finally got the house scraped and painted.
What was strange about the last time we painted the house was that shortly after, we got siding. At the time I didn't think a whole lot about it.
There is a moral to this story - an action in the future can cover up the work of the past.
