Katy High School Football has begun. Last week we beat Klein HS 45-0. We began the season ranked by Sports Illustrated as the #2 high school football team in the country. Our expectations are high to make another run at a state championship. The best thing about this year is that my son, Michael, is playing. He is a defensive back.
We have been following Katy football faithfully (season ticket holders) since 1994. We have seen the Tigers win three state championships out of five trips to the big game. Most years we at least make it to the semi-finals.
Tomorrow night we play the Woodlands. They were beat by a few points last week by one of the top five teams in the state. It should be a tough game. Today one of my students asked me what was my favorite football team. Without hesitation I said, Katy High School.

Katy is a 5A High School with about 3,000 students.
