Bob Woodruff

Bob Woodruff of ABC News is one of my new heroes. He was severly wounded when he was covering the war in Iraq. Watching the special on his life the other night was inspiring. He has made a remarkable comeback.

Bob's injury and remarkable recovery have spotlighted the horrible legacy of this war and that is the brain injuries and loss of limbs due to the IED's ...after seeing one of the specials on Bob, it made me think that the casualties perhaps were not the worst nightmare of the war...it is the survivors. I am afraid that the fallout from our sojourn into Irag will haunt us for many years...you reap what you sow...you reap more than you sow and you reap longer than you sow...God Bless the men and women who are doing their duty...shame on the folks who did not do their duty and lead us into a war with no end and no real mission. Just one woman's opinion.

Thank you T for your comment. I thought by this time in our history that war would be obsolete. History will be the final judge on whether or not this was a justified war. As far as soldiers, if I was an enlisted officer, I do not think there would be anywhere I would rather be. However, it seems that a large percentage of the national guard, even though when they sign up they know they may end up in a war, got the raw deal.

I'm missing you, David. Just wanted to check up on you and make sure you are okay.

I've been keeping up with you, but Blogger hasn't been letting me comment, so I'm aggravated with that. I'm really happy I signed up with TheoBloggers and moved to WordPress.

Hope all is well.

Cheers & Blessings to you today! Dee
