A Core Life Book Discussion Group will begin on Wednesday, August 23. We will discuss the book, The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. Read the first chapter which is on Amazon. A question for discussion will be on the blog on Wednesday morning. I thought this book would be good for the first discussion group. Also, because I already have it and haven't read it yet.

I loved this book. It's powerful. It took me a few chapters to be sure I would want to read it, to really bond with the characters, but then there was no stopping me.
Sue Monk Kidd is an interesting woman as well. She used to be a very prolific Christian magazine writer, but she has since moved away from traditional Christianity into a feminist spirituality.
I think this book would make for some interesting discussion.
I will be happy to re-read and bcome part of the discussion!
