Going Deeper (final)

Deep into the memories,
Deep into the pain,
Feel the feelings,
What is there to gain?

Open your mind,
Open your heart,
Sense the spirit,
Listen to Descartes.

"I think,
Therefore, I am."
What do you say Gershan,
Is my soul full of shame?

What about Jung;
Does the shadow know?
Maybe Freud was right,
Oedipus is my foe.

Dr. Peck was correct,
"Life is difficult."
If time heals all wounds,
What removes the guilt?

Twelve steps,
A thousand miles,
Living in the present,
Buddha smiles.

Paschal and his "wager,"
Lewis and a lion,
Open the doorway,
To the fascinating mind.

Deeper and deeper,
Father God's love implores,
Jesus is already there,
As I walk through the door.

He drew a circle that shut me out- Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout. But love and I had the wit to win; We drew a circle that took him in!
