Terri Shiavo - "the least of these"

If anyone would qualify for "the least of these," who Jesus referred to in Matthew 25:40-45, it would have been Terri Shiavo. I stand with Jessie, Ralph, Tom Harkin and Tom Delay and believe that she was basically allowed to starve to death with the blessing of the United States. This "least of these" was denied food and water because of the "quality of her life" and the choice given to an ex-husband allowing her to dehydrate and starve. He had gotten on with his life years ago, with a new wife (common-law) and two children.

Terri's family begged for custody. It was debatable whether or not she was in PVS. She was a person who lived without the aid of any mechanical life support, other than a feeding tube.

The "least of these" better be on guard. I used to think that the "slippery slope" rhetoric used by conservatives was over the top. The slippery slope just slid into the ocean.
