What does it mean to be open? Here are a few definitions:
[adj] receptive to new ideas; "an open mind"; "open to new ideas"
[adj] sincere and free of reserve in expression; "Please be open with me"
[adj] openly straightforward and direct without reserve or secretiveness; "his candid eyes"; "an open and trusting nature"
[adj] without undue constriction as from e.g. tenseness or inhibition; "the clarity and resonance of an open tone"; "her natural and open response"
In the context of A CORE Life, being open follows being centered in God's love. When we experience the unconditional love of Abba Father, we have no fear. Fear closes, love opens. "Perfect love casts out fear." "We are more than conquerors, through him who loved us." Love opens our heart to accept the work of Christ and the powerful presence of the Spirit. An open mind and an open heart results in an open life. Openness allows the flow of continual healing through our spiritual veins.
